Eukaryotes – Transcription (DNA, RNA) must be complete in nucleus before it can go into cytoplasm where translation occurs at the ribosome.

RNA Processing steps for Eukaryotes
In Nucleus DNA transcribes an RNA strand = pre-mRNA
A cap is added to the pre-mRNA
(*called 7-methylguanosine)
This attaches mature mRNA to ribosome in cytoplasm.
When 3’ end of pre-mRNA is released from DNA – a length of it is removed
